DOULA SERVICES
Doula Support
At Homeland Heart Birth & Wellness Collective, we believe birth is sacred. Our doula care is designed to walk with you, spirit, body, and mind through every step of your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey. Labor Doulas Your trusted birth partner. From early pregnancy check-ins to continuous presence during labor and birth, our labor doulas offer grounding support, advocacy, and care to help you feel safe and empowered. Postpartum Doulas Your gentle guide in the fourth trimester. Our postpartum doulas support you as you heal and bond with your baby, helping with newborn care, feeding, emotional wellness, and rest. You are never alone.
​Labor Doula:
Your Empowered Birth Partner at Homeland Heart
Monthly Support: We'll connect with you regularly (via text or call) to answer questions and address your needs as they evolve throughout your pregnancy. Prenatal Preparation: Two prenatal visits will be scheduled – one at your doctor's appointment and one at your home. We'll work with you to create and refine your birth plan, ensuring your preferences are heard and respected. On-Call and Present: Starting at 37 weeks, we’ll be on-call and ready when you go into labor. We'll provide continuous physical and emotional support through every stage of labor, staying by your side until you're comfortably settled in postpartum recovery or witness the first latch. Seamless Care: In case of any unexpected circumstances, your designated postpartum doula will serve as backup, ensuring you always receive consistent support. Postpartum Check-In: Within 24-48 hours after delivery, we’ll check in to see how you're adjusting and provide any resources or assistance you may need. Homecoming Support: Once you're home, we’ll schedule an in-person check-in to provide a warm welcome and continued support as you settle into parenthood. At Homeland Heart, our Labor Doulas are here to empower you with knowledge, comfort, and unwavering support for a positive, fulfilling birth experience.
Postpartum Doula:
Nurturing Your Transition at Homeland Heart
Planning for Postpartum: Between 34-36 weeks, we'll connect with you to discuss your postpartum needs and schedule a personalized planning session to ensure you're fully prepared for the months ahead. Early Postpartum Support: Within 48 hours of delivery, we'll schedule your first home visit to provide you with timely support during this crucial adjustment period. Hospital Birth Support: For hospital births, we offer 3-4 hour visits within the first 3 weeks, adjusting the frequency based on your specific needs. Home Birth Support: After a home birth, we’ll stay with you for a 12-hour shift before your birth team leaves. In the following weeks, we’ll continue providing support with additional 3-4 hour visits. 24-Hour Support: Our 24-hour support package, available during the "fourth trimester" (the first 3 months postpartum), ensures we are fully present with you, providing uninterrupted care and guidance through this critical time. At Homeland Heart, our Postpartum Doulas are dedicated to nurturing your physical and emotional well-being during the early weeks and months of parenthood. We'll be your constant source of comfort, knowledge, and support as you navigate this beautiful yet challenging transition.
